So, who am I?
Katherine is a graduate of Elon University who went on to receive her Masters in Social Work from The Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College (2017). After graduate school, she worked in a mental health clinic licensed through the New York State Office of Mental Health working with individuals with complex traumas such as chronic homelessness, substance use, and health challenges. Katherine then went on to work in the New Jersey foster care and adoption system providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents. During this time, Katherine obtained her certification as an adoption counselor through Rutgers University as well as a certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Katherine transitioned full time to private practice in 2020 and utilizes her prior experiences by applying them in meaningful ways to help individuals and families achieve optimal growth and empowerment. Some of her specialties include anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, trauma, grief, loss, abuse, attachment issues, self-esteem, and crisis intervention. Katherine also specializes in pre/postpartum mental health and earned her PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification) in Spring 2024.
